Being Positive All The Times

Glass Half Full

Try to figure out the disadvantages or failures in thinking in a negative way all the times. Simplicity requires being positive, but that needs to be in spite of conflicts, and frustrations and anger, in times of troubles.

If you try to think and act in a positive way, then your problems will diminish if not resolved. In relations, you gain friendship; in circumstances, you experience long baring; at work, you will succeed and maybe get promoted; at home, you will surely create a peaceful atmosphere.

Seems it has no disadvantages at all, if you don’t want to break the rule!!!

You will surely need to break the rule sometimes, especially with unfruitful and harmful relations, circumstances, that turns everything upside down should be treated as an option or opportunity for a better chance, but still you cannot say: “all is good all the time!” you need to think about it.

What about your thoughts? If sometimes your thought gets lost and darkened, I mean your mood is bad, then you can refer to the good side and avoid mentioning what is bad.

As D. Jo Eckler says, “nothing is all negative all the time”. So, the things that seem negative sometimes has to be cured by practicing a positive thinking, which means trying to figure out how another person with a positive mind would look at them, and maybe by adopting this way of thinking you can confront those difficult cases where negation is a stumbling block. To learn how to be positive needs some time for practicing, failing, trying again and then finally, smiling when troubles faces you. I should say it is not easy, especially when you are raised in a community full of troubles and failures.

But think of Christian attitudes and the Gospel teachings, I would say being positive is a very useful attitude in the kingdom of God, where we have to accept each other and work on our togetherness, by being formed into the image of God.

Simon in our Story, “Stories of Simon”, is a Hero and a good example. In the first episode of the series: “That was my name”, when he heard Jesus preaching about loving your enemies, he had an issue with Bunker the Master Fisherman whom he left in Capernaum, to replace him. He understood that Bunker was doing him a favor, in spite of being a bad character, a competitor and an enemy, because he would not have been able to leave Zebedee alone with two trainees, and go with James searching for Andrew his brother and John James’ brother, if not for the presence of a good fisherman like Bunker.

He was able to do this, because Jesus changed his name from Simon to Peter.

Maybe we should ask Jesus to change our names so that we change attitudes and become more positive like Simon Peter.
