I remember when I was much younger, how much I used to love adventures and reading about adventures. I still do!
An adventure is an exciting and risky experience, which needs to be experienced with enthusiasm and a lot of courage. Adventures may be involving a group of people; or may be an individual matter. Life by itself is an adventure. I think that the moment a newborn steps out of his mother womb, he enters a new adventure and we can call that the first ever existing and that is why he cries. You experiment new paths, new things to learn and sometimes it costs you some losses, but you learn!
Whenever I think of adventures I think of geography, and start figuring out places to discover a location, from which we move from, to a new one, following the characters in the story. This could happen through land or sea or even in the sky if the story is about modern times.
Hindrances and difficulties are expected, or else it is not an adventure, but a story of tourism. The characters should be brave enough, at least the hero or heroes, while there might be also those who are weak or cowards (cowardice).
Fighting would take place somewhere before the climax of the story. A fight against the weather, or against people or animals, briefly against nature. Also, circumstances vary; sometimes there are good circumstances resolving almost impossible situations, and some other times a contradictory circumstance might sprout out of nowhere destroying our expectations just to make it worse, and thus putting more tension for a stronger climax and a happy ending.
In every adventure, we have the evil and the good, no matter what is the case. Evil or good could be in people, circumstances, spiritual war, strength and weakness, health and malady, life and death.
How to solve problems could be a door to discuss different opinions, and best is not to give a definite answer, rather let the reader discover from his stand what is best. For sure suspension will drive the reader to guess ahead of time how to find a solution of the problem. If he does according to what follows in the story, he will be happy, and if not he will discover new ways to cure things, perhaps enhancing a certain interest he was neglecting, whether in a spiritual, or material, or sentimental perspective, or even in a way using power. Always taking into consideration not to lead your public towards wrong and harmful deductions, or teaching them mischievous ways.
Adventures will keep you wondering and searching until you end your story with a sad or happy closing wrapping up the story.
